Gaze on Mt. Yufu reaching up out of the Enowa forest, partake of the bounty of the earth rich in life energy, connect with the light, the wind, the waters, the trees, and the plants, and become one with them. Enowa breaks the mold by making ample use of textured materials, such as the powerful solid wood, the elegant expression of stone, and the warmth of earthen walls. This combined with artworks that bring peace to your heart, the result is a space to call home for your heart in a class of its own made separate from over-decorated glamour. Here you rediscover your true self who you lost sight of in your busyness.
LANDSCAPE
The sea of green, the spacious vistas, and the almost sacred cloudscape,
your prize here is the abundant scenery.
Enowa is situated on the southern slope of a hill. The spacious grounds of 44,000 square meters takes full advantages of this high ground in Yufuin to plant trees and herbs, and arrange our villas, restaurant, and sauna. Your room offers you views of Mt. Yufu throughout the four seasons, and the scenery of Yufuin. And the same room offers views of the mystical Yufuin wrapped in a sea of clouds in the mornings of the fall and winter.
FOREST
The forest of Enowa was created in order to create a place to return to.
Clouds born from the sea, pour rain on the forest, water becomes the river, and flows back into the sea. At Enowa, this cycle is held most dear to us. The trees and seasonal herbs planted on the grounds, the sounds of water and singing birds, and the whispering trees, together form this small forest in their abundance. When you join in this abundance and become part of it, the words “I’m home” come unbidden to your mouth. You have found the home of your heart.
ARCHITECTURE
Designing the fundamental vibration of nature.
When, to the rich textures of wood, stone, and earthen walls chosen intentionally are added the sounds of cascading waters and the whisper of the wind passing through the greenery, the buildings of Enowa take on an aspect as though the echoes performed by the circle of space, nature, and time are by design. They stand there, a botanical presence, as if it is there they have always been.

MORNING
Let the first light awake you in the morning. Open the window and you are greeted with the fresh air of green nature and the sounds of birds and waters. Begin a brand-new day, a completely different look from the previous night as the decor of your room is bathed in light.

AFTERNOON
Your breath catches at the light falling through the swaying trees on your walk through the forest. Time passes as the clouds seem to float across the pool of the sky. The afternoon light gently encourages your thoughts and actions.

SUNSET
The evening sunset is a prelude to an evening of wonder. Enjoy your aperitif of champagne as you are entertained by the drama of the colors and hues of the setting sun.

NIGHT
Once the sun has set, the trees of the forest enter their slumber. Now it is time for the moon and the stars to take their stage in the sky. Before you is the nightscape of Yufuin. The nighttime scenery is yet another part of the hospitality at Enowa.

Such as striking yet unassuming paintings and stone objects that speak of a powerful and primordial beauty. These works adorn the restaurant, the hallways, and the rooms at Enowa. The art is selected not to boast loudly, but to blend in with the botanical atmosphere. It will bring back long-lost memories.
ROOMS
Our rooms are the artistic embodiment of nature.
From the view of Yufuin through the window like a painting, to the powerful warmth evoked by the solid wood, and the plants that have become one with the space, all rooms were selected and arrayed with a concept of primitive luxury, designed to return the guest to a human sized presence in this artistic embodiment of nature.
FURNITURE
A gentle sensation greets as you brush your hand or rest your arm. The furniture at Enowa is primarily of wood construction, chosen for its avoidance of excessive design.
INTERIOR
Our interiors feature wood material adorned with stone walls and objects, at times striking, and at others, bold. The interior of each room has been cleverly designed to present its own look.
AMENITY GOODS
Enowa has collaborated with the cosmetic brand Nemohamo, which awakens your natural skin through the power of quality flora, to produce original bath amenities that evoke a sense of the forest. Enjoy a moment of relaxation as though you are bathing in the forest.
